Name of Sim Center: Center for Excellence in Practice
Location: Lancaster, PA
Sim Center Highlights: The Center for Excellence in Practice is the culmination of nearly a decade of planning and collaboration with some of the most forward-thinking experts in simulation education. Designed to mimic the function and feel of an actual hospital, the Center strives to cultivate critical thinking by engaging learners through realistic scenarios in realistic environments.
Nearly 20,000 square feet of space has been deliberately engineered to feel natural and authentic to learners from all facets of health care. The facilities include a Simulation Hospital (8 Beds) with Nurses' Station, Home Care Suite, Operating Room, Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Lab, Sonography Lab, 2 Respiratory Therapy Labs with full simulation capability, 5 debriefing/Conference Areas, Direct Observation Control Rooms, Clinical Skills Labs (two ten-bed labs, one three-bed lab and 32-seat tables in larger labs), and Clinical Education Suite (32-seat classroom, two-bed patient room and two single-patient rooms).
 Our technology includes Live Audio/Video Monitoring - Recording, archiving, video debriefing, 20+ Human Patient Simulators, CathLab Simulator, Respiratory Care Simulator, and Simulation Task Trainers.

Name of Sim Center: Helene Fuld Pavilion for Innovative Learning
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Sim Center Highlights: 5,000 Square Foot, State-of-the-Art facility that houses 25 physical exam bays, a fully functioning home care suite, 4 High-Fidelity spaces that can be arranged as an OR, Birthing Suite, or Adult or Pediatric ICUs. Two additional rooms are flexible spaces that can be used for task training, immersive or hybrid simulations. High, Mid and Low Fidelity manikins are used, as well as actors and standardized patients.

Name of Sim Center: WISER (Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Sim Center Highlights: The Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research (WISER) is a 12,000 sq. ft. world class multidisciplinary training and research facility. WISER is an institute of the University of Pittsburgh with a mission to conduct research and training programs utilizing simulation based education to provide a safer environment for patients of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and its affiliates.  It is a Laerdal Center of Excellence in Simulation and Educational and also one of the first simulation centers to be endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).  WISER is composed of 2 classrooms, 2 debriefing rooms, 12 training rooms a library and also a suite of offices.
