Sim Center Highlights: The OHSU Simulation & Clinical Learning Center (SCLC) is a 6000 square foot facility with video broadcast capabilities. Our main goal is to facilitate the integration of simulation into nursing & healthcare curriculum at all levels with the use of high fidelity simulation as well as use of standardized patients and other innovative learning strategies.

Name of Sim Center: Simulation Centre for Health Sciences
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Sim Center Highlights: This 4,000 sq. foot centre is unique in Canada. The Centre has a fully equipped operating room, 3 bed intensive care unit and 9 bed advanced care unit. Students across Health Sciences are assigned time in the simulated laboratory learning to work together in interprofessional practice.

Pennsylvania - University of Pittsburgh/Pittsburgh Medical Center

Name of Sim Center: WISER (Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Sim Center Highlights: The Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research (WISER) is a 12,000 sq. ft. world class multidisciplinary training and research facility. WISER is an institute of the University of Pittsburgh with a mission to conduct research and training programs utilizing simulation based education to provide a safer environment for patients of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and its affiliates.  It is a Laerdal Center of Excellence in Simulation and Educational and also one of the first simulation centers to be endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).  WISER is composed of 2 classrooms, 2 debriefing rooms, 12 training rooms a library and also a suite of offices.
