Name of Sim Center: School of Health Sciences Simulation Lab
Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Sim Center Highlights: The School of Health Sciences Simulation Lab at the University of Saint Francis is home to 4 human patient simulators. Medical Education Technologies, Inc's Emergency Care Infant, Child and Adult simulators as well as the popular iStan, a recent guest on the television show Grey's Anatomy, are used. The lab is fully capable of audio & video recording for playback and live feed to the Debriefing Room.

Louisiana - Charity School of Nursing Delgado Community College

Delgado Community College

Name of Sim Center: Charity School of Nursing Delgado Community College
Location: New Orleans, LA

Sim Center Highlights: Located in downtown New Orleans at the Charity Campus of Delgado Community College, the simulation center opened in 2003 with one HPS funded by a grant obtained by Chancellor J. Terence Kelly. Presently the lab offers METI, Laerdal, and Gaumard products. Scenarios used are self-generated by faculty to meet individual student needs and METI's PNCI scenarios. The utilization of simulations has been expanded to include interdisciplinary simulations with RN students, Allied Health students, Tulane School of Medicine residents and medical students. The goal of this endeavor is to improve the quality and safety of patient care by training tomorrow's healthcare team together.

Louisiana - LSU Health Sciences Center

LSU Health Science Center

Name of Sim Center: LSUHSC Learning Center
Location: New Orleans, LA

Sim Center Highlights: The LSUHSC Learning Center occupies approximately 40,000 square feet of space on the 5th and 6th Floors of the Lions Building. It provides a large array of both high fidelity and low fidelity simulation equipment to support innovative, multidisciplinary, and inter-professional education of healthcare students and professionals living in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. The LSUHSC Learning Center houses 6 simulation suites, 2 simulation OR rooms, 7 small conference rooms, 2 interactive conference rooms with video conferencing capabilities, a 100 seat large conference room, and an extraordinary 32-station cadaveric laboratory.
