Simulation Centers and Faculty/Staff Development
I am getting responses that average between $24.00/hr ($49,920/yr) and $28.00/hr ($58,240/yr) for this position. Job requirements and descriptions vary. Does anyone disagree with the salary range?
Thanks to everyone who responded.
What would be the difference between the Simulation Specialist or Tech. The salary range may be appropriate for a tech, however it seems low for someone who has specialized in this area. Any thoughts?
We pay science lab techs about $20/hr. I've already titled the position Specialist to set it apart from the science lab tech position since there are added expectations regarding healthcare knowledge and skill with technology. Expectations regarding organizing the area are similar to what is expected of our science lab techs. Our faculty run the simulations and evaluate students, so this role is a support role. So, the $24 - $28 range seemed like it might be appropriate. I am interested in all information though.
(Some from other states have already told me that this range would be too high in their area.)
Can you all that are replying with salary ranges tell what states you are in? Thanks
If anyone has an actual job description for this, could you share it? I am a Simulation Learning Technician and have worked solely in the Sim Lab with assisting faculty in running scenarios, inventory and maintenance, and roles are now changing so I would love to see the job description for the salary ranges posted here because I make nothing like what it says here and I'll be able to ask for more in about 6months! Thanks!!
Does anyone have a job description for their simulation techs they would be able to share. We are developing a position.
