Overview

Teaching and Learning Strategies offers many creative ideas for both novice and experienced educators who want to maximize the use of their simulation resources. The course provides valuable resources such as a moulage recipe book. It also suggests practical ideas for managing assignments that include animated rotation schedules that illustrate moving students through a simulation day and an interactive exercise focused on assigning student roles.

Objectives

  1. Discuss simulation teaching/learning strategies.
  2. Explore techniques for introducing simulation in class, clinical and laboratory settings.
  3. Describe the issues and concepts confronted when facilitating simulation in a teaching-learning environment.
  4. Discuss common challenges the educator may encounter when using simulations as a teaching-learning strategy.
