The SIRC Has a New Look
The Simulation Innovation Resource Center (SIRC) website has undergone some major enhancements. We hope you like the new look and are finding the resources useful. We are grateful to our communications and marketing team for their creativity and hard work. Please take the time to visit the site and please let us know what you think at info@sirc.com.

The SIRC site has a new feature: HomeGrownSolutions. INACSL and the NLN have joined forces to provide you with a way to share cost effective methods to produce simulation situations. Created by education professionals to address tricky issues in simulation, HomeGrown Simulation Solutions comprises self-made items, creative adaptations to existing items, simulation recipes, and ideas that add to the suspension of disbelief in simulation. Each item includes objectives for use, ideas to integrate it into the curriculum, and step-by-step instructions that provide a roadmap for replication. Solutions may be highlighted in future publications and/or conferences with INACSL and the NLN.

2015 NLN Leadership Conference: Academic Leadership Excellence: Co-Creating a Collaborative Culture

Leadership is needed in order to advance excellence in the use of simulation as an effective teaching strategy. Leading change requires skills. Joining the many participants for this year's conference are our 2015 Simulation Leaders. This year the Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators program welcomes three international simulation experts from South Africa, Australia, and Canada.

This year's interactive leadership conference will focus on co-creating a positive culture for effective leadership in academic environments. Organizational culture establishes the foundation for how people work, think, and behave. Esteemed experts will share insights and strategies to address dynamics that often serve as barriers to successful organizational performance: resistance, power, authority, and competition.

The conference will promote courageous dialogue that engages participants in experiential learning. Join the NLN to explore innovations to co-create strategic environments that build collaboration among faculty, administrators, and students.

Congratulations to our 2015 simulation leaders who will also be attending this year's Leadership Conference:
