Laerdal Sim Man 3G & Sterile Water

I have a Laerdal Sim Man 3G. Laerdal does not recomemend using sterile water through the IV arm. Pocket Nurse (demo dose, etc) drugs come with sterile water in them.

Does anyone use sterile water in Sim Man 3G...have you have any issues? Do you remove the sterile water from the pocket nurse drugs and replace it with distilled water?

In my experience with the SimMan, they recommend distilled water because anything else increases build up.  I eventually got tired of refilling IV bags with distilled water and ran Saline, LR, etc. through the arm.  I did an alcohol rinse after each use and didn't see any issues.  I also added a little alcohol to anything I could before infusing it into the arm.
