Does anyone use computer assisted learning programs in their computer labs? We currently have programs for each nursing discipline but they seem to be outdated. And the student responses to surveys indicates that the students are aware they are outdated and that we need to have newer versions. Herein lies the problem! The company, Program Development software no longer exists. Does anyone know of a company that makes downloadable programs that offer case studies and scenarios to enhance student learning?

We use Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), they have many opportunities for computer assisted learning. We use their real life scenarios. The company is student and instructor friendly. You can check them out at

Laerdal also has a new product using scenarios with branching case studies. It is called VSim.
