Pilot Position- Sim Lab Coordinator
by Alicia Book - Monday, December 9, 2013, 1:14 PM

Our program has faced challenges in implementation of simulation in all courses across the curriculum, and plan to pilot students rotating through the simulation with a simulation coordinator. I am curious how other schools schedule the rotations and evaluate the coordinator. The faculty interested in taking on this position would maintain a faculty role, but have a significantly lighter teaching load, as her workload hours will come from the simulation lab time. Also, she has attended various simulation training sessions and workshops and has been successful in implementation of simulation into her own courses. Any feedback, suggestions, or "lessons learned" would be helpful! We will implement initially into our ASN upper level courses- totaling approximately 55 students in the semester.

Thanks so much for any help that can be provided!
