In healthcare simulation, we deploy deliberate practice to improve our technical skills and interprofessional communication. During the Human Patient Simulation Network (HPSN) Southern Regional SimDay, we will address how we can refine our practice to improve competency, teamwork, and safety in preparation for the clinical setting. Have a great idea? Submit your own workshop abstract below to showcase your simulation program and help others with innovative ideas and hands-on presentations.

Join us in beautiful South Alabama in Mobile for an outstanding FREE SimDay held at the University of South Alabama. We will offer discounted pre-conference training on a CAE simulator the day before the conference begins. The Southern Regional SimDay will seek to provide interactive workshops, hands-on simulation training and techniques, and networking options with other sim users! Gather with experts, enthusiasts, and eager innovators from the expanding world of healthcare simulation to experience, contribute and learn together at the HPSN Southern Regional SimDay.

This program will provide the essential information a nurse educator would need to incorporate simulation in a curriculum or a clinical setting. Simulation techniques for both the Human Patient Simulator and Standardized Patients will be presented. Debriefing techniques and moulage are also included.
